1st thought after watching the trailer: Holy Shit!!!!!
2nd thought: will I be disappointed another time?
1ère pensée: Putain de Merde!!!
2ème pensée: vais-je être déçu une nouvelle fois?
Some movies got me really excited, watching the trailer in HD again and again and again. Those movies were just a BIG disappointment (Transformers 2 – too much robot, some goofy scenes and a diet story / Terminator Salvation – I hated the way it was filmed, the story sucked, and Christian Bale is such a bab actor…).
J’me suis emballé sur pas mal de film dernièrement, regardant le trailer en HD encore et encore et encore. Mais pour la plupart, ces films n’ont été qu’une GROSSE deception (Transformers 2 – trop de robots, des scènes ridicules, un scénario allegé / Terminator Salvation – dès les premières secondes, je n’ai pas aimé la façondont c’était filmé, l’histoire était pourri, et Christion Bale est un tellement mauvais acteur…)
So can we trust James Cameron on this one? I believe we do. And I’m not saying that because he gained a lot of respect from me by playing in Entourage (but it helps). I think James Cameron is still a visionary movie director with a kid eye searching to make his craziest dreams come almost true! Look at some of his filmography :
Est ce qu’on peut faire confiance à James Cameron sur ce coup? J’ai tendance à croire que oui. Et je ne dis pas ça parce qu’il a gagné beacoup de mon respect en jouant dans Entourage (mais ça aide). Je pense surtotu que James Cameron est un réalisateur visionnaire, qui voit avec les yeux d’un enfant, essayant de transofrmer ses rêves les plus fous en films:

Donc Avatar nous emmène dans un monde spéctaculaire qui dépasse notre imagination, ou un anti-héros s’embarque dans une aventure sur fond de redemption et découverte, se battant héroiquement pour sauver une civilisation.
Le film a été conçu il y a déjà 14 ans par James Cameron, mais les moyens techniques pour le réaliser n’existaient pas encore. Après 4 de travail, Avatar devrait nous plonger dans une expérience d’un nouveau genre, où ma technology revolutionaire inventé pour le film se fera oublier par l’émotion dégagé par les personnages et une histoire envoutante.
Avatar will be hitting theatres across the globe on December 18th, coming in 3D and IMAX format as well.
