Justice - Stress

I had to post this video… Just crazy from the french band Justice… If you don’t know Justice go get their album… It is one of the best album I heard in a while, even if it’s not Hip-Hop… There are some better beats on the album, but the video is just mad!

You already know I am really exciting about Serato Itch and that I cannot wait any more longer (well, I think i have too anyway).
I just found out that besides VCI-300, another controller will be available for use with Serato Itch!

It comes from Numark and is named NS7. Here is a little presentation video but there is no live testing or scratching:

Needless to say that because of the HUGE size of the NS7, I don’t see what is the real value of it. You will not be able put it in your bag like the VCI-300…
The only good thing about it are the two high-torque, motorized 7″ standard platters with a genuine vinyl interface which should provide pinpoint response with the look and feel of standard turntables… More news: http://www.numark.com/ns7

I found this crazy video… How you can make a hit in a few seconds…

I just found this incredible video of the late Roger Troutman freestyling @ Radio Nova. It is just amazing and not to be missed! I’ve always been a big fan of Zap & Roger and been always fascinated by the Talkbox… I should get one for myself!

I have to make a post about last night HHLS party… We were doing the party at La Scène Bastille, which can accept 700 people, and it was over crowded! So the promoter decided to take it to the next level, and move it to L’Elysée Montmartre, chich can content between 2000 and 3000 people…
So the party happened last night DJ Ewone, DJ Mac Phive and myself on the turntables… And it was just CRAZY! It was over packed… Look at the picture:

Serato Itch

Things are moving around Serato… After launching de Video SL lately (that I quickly tried and that I would be testing soon), there is a new product in the pipe: Serato Itch. Serato Itch look like a complete new Serato Interface, close to Scratch Live, but specifically designed to work with USB device like…………. the Vestax VCI-300.Here is a pic coming from the excellent Skratchworx website:

Once again, the guys from Serato made it simple… “Do more with less” must be their letmotiv. And now more exciting, here is the first piece of hardware working with it: the Vestax VCI-300, which is a kind of VCI-100 with specific controls for the Serato AND a audio interface (there is even a mic input).
